Player Database Reset
ATTENTION ALL BoV MEMBERS:
It has come to my attention that, on more than one occasion and by more than one
player, instances of player stealing, cheating, and other such misconduct now
threaten the welfare and enjoyment of BoV.
Player misconducts, along with the database record corruption, player account
problems, and problems with SysOp/Player interaction have made the following a
long put off, but inevitable action.
To be respectful to all who play, a Deletion/Reset of ALL accounts will be
issued. This is being done to askew the aforesaid problems, and to offset all
instances of corruption and misconduct.
This is a long thought out decision, and one that I do not take lightly. I must
apologize for the inconveniences that I am well aware this incurs to all members
of BoV, be it Player or Staff.
At time of reset I will also be removing all Moderators, Developers, SysOps, and
Admins. Again, due to problems with SysOp/Player interaction, this is
unfortunately an inevitable occurrence.
This is going to take place at approximately 8:00pm PST on Wednesday the 20th of
November. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and patronage through this
difficult time of change.

BoV Goes Online Under The Ownership and Hosting of ChopStixs

Cancellation of BoV
Let me start off with a history lesson, many months ago Wuzzbent joined Nobis
Productions. With him he brought Blades of Virtue. Blades of Virtue was to
become a Nobis Productions product, and so it did. Since then we have hosted the
server for the game, allowing the many fans and players easy access to the game.
When Wuzzbent finished BoV, he kept the source code, and decided to no longer
work on the game. This made it impossible for any other member of Nobis
Productions to work on the game. But at the time, did not matter to us as we
were under the impression we could get it by simply asking Wuzzbent. Over the
time Wuzzbent decided it was best to leave Nobis Productions and began working
on his own company, Wuzzware (http://www.wuzzware.com). When he left it was a
clean cut, he was working on another project and left the source code and legal
rights with us. Thus it was implied, and assumed once again that BoV which has
been with us for quite a while was still ours. Then the shocker came a few
months later. Wuzzbent wanted to sell the source code and rights of BoV to Nobis
Productions. As a mutual feeling among all the premium members, we were rather
outraged. With time, we cooled down, and decided that in soon time, BoV will be
replaced. A short while from that decision, yet another message from Wuzzbent
revealing that BoV has been sold to another party, RandomQ
(http://www.ZoneZero.net), this again outraged us further. At that time
negotiations were launched and communication with RandomQ began. RandomQ wanted
to work on the game, and let the server remain in Nobis Productions. This option
did not seem fair to the members of Nobis Productions. We would be using our
resources to help a project/product which is no longer our property, and
seemingly unjustly ripped. After deliberation it was decided that our server
will no longer run, and the saved server data will not be given to the new
party. This may seem like a lack of caring for our fanbase, but the decision was
arrived at in protection of our fanbase. We are uncertain how the information
will be used after it leaves our possession, the e-mail addresses could be sold
to third parties, and the passwords unjustly misused. It is because of this
concern and with a heavy heart the ruling was made. In short time, BoV will be
removed from the Nobis Productions webpage entirely.
To discuss this situation further, feel free to visit our forums at:
http://www.nobispro.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=3
Information concerning BoV’s final moments are:
Stopped Running: 10:59 Pacific Standard Time
Total Accounts : 2860
Top 10 Ladder Rankings
1. Kenada -34
2. Shaggy-31
3. RandomQ -31
4. Omen-30
5. Lucilla-30
6. SlipKnot-29
7. Shade-28
8. JMoney-28
9. sano-25
10. JohnnyCab-25
And the final words muttered before the server went down was:
“[BoneCrush] - y don't they just change servers”
We hope that all this information is has been useful in understanding the
situation, and has not detoured you from future gamming with Nobis Productions.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but this decision was the most responsible.

BoV switches ownership
In case anyone has been hearing things regarding Blades of Virtue leaving Nobis
Productions your concern is warranted. In the short past, Wuzzbent (the creator
and rightful legal owner of the BoV source) has since sold the source code and
rights of Blades of Virtue to RandomQ. What does this mean for Nobis
Productions? That is a very good question, negotiations are currently underway
and are hoped to be resolved in the short future.

Nice and new
Well, the Blades of Virtue server is back up. The computer is much faster and
cleaner now after the format. It took a little longer than expected because I
went out and bought a new 30gig Hard Drive and had to install it.

Stupid Windows
ARG!! This is my 3rd time writing this so its going to be short. The sucky OS
named Windows is crashing every few minutes causing me to restart. Im going to
format and start from scratch which means the Blades of Virtue server will be
down tonight and maybe tomorrow.
Im sorry about this. Just blame Microsoft for making the buggiest software in
the world! =)
